Introduction:

On January 25, 2024, a group of students from Government Senior Secondary School, Bamial, Amritsar, India visited the Food Science and Technology Laboratory at the Skill Development Center. This visit was aimed at providing students with firsthand exposure to the field of Food science and Technology to plan their career aspirations.

Activities During the Visit:

  • Welcome and Introduction: The students were warmly welcomed by the staff of the Food Science and Technology department and Skill Development Center, who provided a brief overview of the Food Science and Technology Laboratory and its activities.
  • Laboratory Tour: The students were then taken on a guided tour of the laboratory, where they had the chance to observe and learn about various equipment and processes used in food processing, preservation, and analysis. This included equipment for milling, mixing, packaging, and quality control measures.
