One Day Seminar on “Future Possibilities in the field of Zoology” (Oct. 31, 2019)

PG Department of Zoology organized a seminar on 'Future Possibilities in the field of Zoology'. Dr. Anish Dua, Professor, Department of Zoology, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was the key speaker on this occasion. He stressed upon the need to educate students about the scope of Zoology in industry and academia. Dr. Dua while addressing the students said that studying Zoology can not only provide self-employment opportunities but it can also provide a chance to become an entrepreneur. Further he added that students should also explore the applied aspects of Zoology like Economic Zoology which is a branch of science that deals with economically useful animals. It involves the study of application of animals for human welfare. He ended his talk by highlighting the fact that the need of Zoology is not just to improve our economic condition but also to provide food security and provide employment opportunities.
